What began as a hobby for this father son team in the family garage has developed into a refined skill set and a deep appreciation for hand-crafted beer. Their dedication and hard work are evidenced by their recent awards. In 2021 Iron Pipe Alewerks took home the bronze medal for their Sassenach at the Virginia Craft Beer Awards and again in 2022 when they won the silver medal for the 4 Horseman of Helles. Of course, they have other great brews such as the ever-popular Shapeshifter IPA.
You will want to check out the brewery where the atmosphere has a cool vibe of casual steampunk accentuated by a uniquely curved bar and piped ceiling.
All that beer can certainly work up an appetite so while you are there grab a slice of the freshly made brick-oven Pizza or some delicious oven-baked wings.
