Veterans Brad, Scott, and Megan Burton built Decipher out of their passion for brewing. Bringing their dream to fruition by putting together this community gathering place right in the heart of Charlottesville.
Drop by for some award-winning craft brews or while you are here sample some ale from the Babington Project, a barrel aged beer series named for Sir Anthony Babington, known for developing a cipher for Queen Mary of Scotts to plot Queen Elizabeths assignation. Drink and discover the intriguing code-breaking story behind the names of each of these brews.
Bring a picnic or order from your favorite pizzeria to enjoy with your beer. While there is no food available, Decipher does encourage patrons to bring food or order delivery from nearby restaurants. There is plenty of seating inside and outside of the taphouse. Outside seating has covered and uncovered options and for those colder days or evenings three smokeless firepits are also available to enjoy.
